Monique joined Yaquina Law in April 2019 as she was finishing her program to become a nationally certified paralegal. Monique moved to the Oregon Coast when she retired from eleven years of working as police officers in the San Francisco area of California in 2018. After retiring, Monique obtained a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, with an emphasis in Paralegal Studies. Prior to joining Yaquina Law, Monique had the opportunity to work with the Department of Human Affairs, where she handled large volumes of sensitive and confidential information. The experience that Monique gained through her work as a police officer and at DHS has given her a unique perspective on the legal problems our clients are facing. Monique has an aptitude for critically analyzing the facts of a case, and carefully studying the relevant material to assist and support our attorneys and clients with their cases from beginning to end.
